Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot escalated issues with customers and network/telecom providers
• Work with customers, service providers, and vendors to drive issues to resolution
• Perform service activations for new and existing customers
• Investigate and complete reason for outage (RFO) reports on all network outages
• Mentor and help train Tier 1 NOC Analysts
• Accept call overflows for frontline NOC support team during major outages

• *** BROADSOFT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED *** Advanced knowledge and experience with Broadsoft’s Broadworks platform
• In-depth understanding of hosted VoIP related applications and protocols such as SIP, UDP, RTP, SDP and TLS
• Full understanding of LAN and WAN technologies, including Ethernet switching, VLAN and Routing
• Knowledge and experience with Voice Routers and LAN Switch configurations (Adtran, Cisco, Audiocodes)
• Experience with packet analyzers
• Experience with Linux operating system, including scripting and common tools and utilities (grep, awk, tcpdump, vmstat etc.)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Support of VoIP platforms
• Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to take responsibility for completing projects with the least amount of oversight
• Ability to apply judgment, implement solutions, and resolve conflicts in a multi-tasked environment
• Team player with the ability to maintain a pleasant personality and a professional demeanor in stressful situations
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize several projects and tasks at one time
• Ability to work night shift
• CCNA and/or CCNP with emphasis on Voice is a plus
