Copy Editor/ Cebu
Central Visayas – 6th Floor TGU Tower, Cebu IT Park
Responsibilities:
- Copy edits the manuscript according to the rules cited in the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS), e.g., typographical errors, misspellings, subject-verb agreement, etc.
- Apply changes or propose to make changes to the manuscript, making clear comments, concise and objective.
- Apply to create a manuscript that matches the customer’s specifications and requirements and standards in the market
- Indexing
Requirements:
- Must have strong background in English grammar and English literature
- Above-average reading comprehension skills
- Prior experience in editing or writing for print media, in campus journalism (as staffer in school paper), or in teaching English/Literature subjects in secondary or tertiary level students preferred
- Computer literate (Word for Windows, Excel, Internet savvy)
- Self-disciplined and has good work ethics
- Willing to work in Cebu IT Park
- Cebu- based! Provincial hires will be relocated!
